I’m a one-person plumbing business. Is it overkill?
No. The Business plan is for one user and covers quotes, deposits, invoices, payment links, the diary, job sheets and offline working. When you take on an apprentice or another engineer, move to Professional or Premium and add them, with your customers and history already in place.
Can my engineers see their jobs on their own phones?
Yes, on Professional and Premium. Each engineer gets their jobs, notes and paperwork on their phone, and you can track time, see live staff locations and chat as a team. User access controls let you decide what each person sees, including whether they see job values. Premium adds drag and drop scheduling across the whole team’s week.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. In a loft, a basement or a new build with no signal you can still update the job, add notes and photos, complete forms and prepare quotes and invoices. Everything syncs when you’re back online. Read more about working offline.
Can I take a deposit before I order a bathroom suite or cylinder?
Yes, on every plan. Add a deposit to the quote as a fixed amount or a percentage, and the customer can pay it online when they accept. For longer jobs, split the work into part invoices and bill at each stage.
Does it handle certificates and paperwork?
Yes, on Professional and Premium. Certificates cover gas, service and maintenance, and installation and commissioning, with on-site signatures, and you can build your own custom forms for the checks you do on every job. New and updated certificates are added as the standards change. For plumbing there are ready-made certificates for unvented hot water (CP8), commissioning of water pipework and central heating powerflushes. Gas Safe registered engineers also get the CP12 landlord gas safety record and the central heating commissioning certificate.
Will it help with Making Tax Digital and my accounts?
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is built in on every plan and recognised by HMRC. Professional and Premium also let you submit VAT returns and connect to Xero or QuickBooks Online. See our Making Tax Digital guide.
Can I bring my customers over from my old software?
Yes. Data import from your old software and a one-to-one setup and training session are included on every plan, and our UK-based team is on hand by phone and chat.
What does it cost?
Business is £28 a month for one user. Professional is £32 and Premium £40 a month per user. Prices exclude VAT, and paying annually gets you two months free. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card needed. Compare everything on the pricing page.
What about the calls I miss while I’m on a job?
That’s what Powered Now Receptionist is for. It answers your calls 24/7 in a natural voice, takes the caller’s details and logs every call and enquiry, so you can get back to them when you’re off the tools. It’s a separate add-on from £29 a month. See how the receptionist works.
